MachineGames Hints at Wolfenstein 3: For years, fans of the Wolfenstein series have wondered whether BJ Blazkowicz’s story had reached its conclusion. The last time players truly stepped into his shoes was back in 2017 with Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Since then, spin offs like Youngblood (2019) and Cyberpilot explored the next generation of the Blazkowicz family, but BJ himself has remained out of the spotlight. Now, MachineGames has teased that the journey isn’t over just yet.
In a new interview with Noclip, studio head Jerk Gustafsson revealed that BJ’s story was always intended to be told across three games. “We have always seen BJ’s story as a trilogy,” Gustafsson explained. “Even during the first weeks at id Software, when we mapped out The New Order, we already had a plan for BJ what would happen in the second game, and what would happen in the third one.”
That vision, it seems, remains alive. “I think that’s important to say, because at least, I hope we’re not done with Wolfenstein yet. We have a story to tell,” he added.
Why the Wolfenstein Legacy Still Matters

The Wolfenstein franchise has long been celebrated for its bold storytelling, fast-paced combat, and unapologetic resistance against fascism. Youngblood pushed the narrative forward to the next generation, following BJ’s twin daughters in the 1980s. Yet, for many fans, the absence of BJ himself left the saga feeling incomplete.
MachineGames’ latest major project, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, earned glowing reviews and showcased the studio’s talent for weaving cinematic stories into action packed gameplay. With that momentum, returning to Wolfenstein feels not only possible but inevitable.
Fans Want a True Ending for BJ’s Journey
Wolfenstein isn’t just about shooting Nazis it’s about resilience, rebellion, and one man’s determination to ignite revolutions against tyranny. BJ Blazkowicz has always stood as a symbol of defiance, and leaving his story unfinished would feel like cutting off a legend mid-sentence. Fans have been vocal about their desire to see how his trilogy ends, and Gustafsson’s comments suggest MachineGames is listening.
For now, the studio hasn’t officially confirmed a new Wolfenstein game, but the door is clearly wide open. Whether it’s on the current generation of consoles or beyond, it seems the battle BJ started isn’t quite over.
Could the Next Wolfenstein Be the Most Powerful Yet?

The Wolfenstein series has always thrived on bold risks and unforgettable moments, and the possibility of a third BJ led game is enough to reignite excitement among longtime fans. If MachineGames delivers on its promise, we may soon witness the long awaited conclusion to one of gaming’s most iconic rebel stories.
