Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R: For motorcycle enthusiasts, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R has always been a dream machine a superbike that brings track focused engineering to the streets. Now, the Japanese manufacturer has rolled out the 2026 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R in India, but this time, there’s both good news and a bit of a surprise.
The superbike comes with a new ex showroom price of Rs19.49 lakh, making it costlier by a whopping Rs99,000 compared to the 2025 model. What makes the launch even more intriguing is that Kawasaki has slightly reduced the power and torque figures on the latest version, leaving many fans wondering about the reason behind this move.
Price Strategy and Discounts on the 2025 Model

Interestingly, Kawasaki continues to list the 2025 Ninja ZX10R on its official website, right alongside the new 2026 model. This appears to be a clever strategy to clear out the existing stock of the older bikes. Not only is the 2025 version cheaper, but it also delivers slightly higher performance figures compared to the new model.
To sweeten the deal, Kawasaki is currently offering discounts of up to Rs1.50 lakh on the 2025 Ninja ZX10R. This makes the outgoing version a much more value for money option for riders who don’t want to shell out extra for a bike that, on paper, now produces a little less power. The discount, however, is valid only until 30 September 2025 or till stocks last.
What’s New in the 2026 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R?

The updated Ninja ZX10R delivers 193.1 bhp and 112 Nm of torque, which marks a drop of about 7 bhp and 2.9 Nm compared to the outgoing model. While Kawasaki hasn’t revealed the exact reason behind this reduction, it could be due to stricter emission norms or other regulatory updates.
Apart from this tweak, the bike remains largely unchanged. It continues to offer:
- A TFT console with smartphone connectivity
- Multiple riding modes
- Dual-channel ABS
- Cruise control, traction control, launch control, and engine brake control
In terms of hardware, the 2026 Ninja ZX 10R retains its Showa BFF front forks, Showa BFRC rear monoshock, and Ohlins electronic steering damper. Braking duties are handled by dual 330mm discs at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear.
Final Thoughts
While the new 2026 Kawasaki Ninja ZX10R carries the prestige and cutting-edge technology that the nameplate is known for, its higher price and lower performance figures make the 2025 version a more tempting buy, especially with the heavy discounts currently available. For buyers eyeing the legendary ZX10R, the next few weeks could be the perfect window to grab one at a smarter deal.
