UPSSSC PET 2025: For thousands of young candidates traveling across Uttar Pradesh, the journey to appear for the UPSSSC PET 2025 exam turned into a test of patience and endurance. Lucknow Charbagh station, the city’s central railway hub, witnessed an overwhelming rush as aspirants arrived from various districts, hoping to catch connecting trains to reach their exam centers on time.
Overcrowding Challenges Amid Special Arrangements

Despite the Northern Railway deploying special trains and the administration arranging holding areas and rest spaces, the experience was far from comfortable for many. Outside the station, the municipal corporation had set up a large pandal with mattresses, but the scorching heat and lack of ventilation made it a challenging night. Aspirants were seen resting on the floor, using backpacks as makeshift pillows, while some diligently revised their notes under the glow of mobile flashlights.
Aspirants Speak Out About Their Difficult Night
Sachin Verma, traveling from Ambedkar Nagar to his exam center in Bareilly, said, “The arrangement is fine, but there are no fans. It’s very difficult to spend the night in this heat without ventilation.” Similarly, Manohar, a candidate from Barabanki waiting for a train to Kanpur, expressed his frustration, “The crowd is huge. It’s hard to even find a place to sit.”
Ticket Counters and Packed Trains: The Real Test
Inside the station, the chaos continued with long queues at ticket counters as candidates tried to secure seats on already packed trains. Rajendra Kumar Rawat, who missed his train due to overcrowding, commented, “Two trains have gone, but they were so crowded that boarding them was impossible.”
Authorities Step In With Additional Support
In response to the situation, ADG (Railways) Prakash D and senior officers inspected the station on Saturday, interacting with candidates and reviewing arrangements for security, medical aid, water, and help desks. Railways also announced two additional unreserved exam special trains one between Lucknow Jn Kanpur Central and another from Lucknow Jn Varanasi to ease the rush and ensure candidates reach their destinations safely.
Resilience and Determination of Exam Aspirants

While the administration’s efforts offered some relief, the experience highlighted the immense challenges aspirants face in reaching exam centers across the state, turning a simple commute into a test of resilience and determination.
